With high-profile projects for international clients, we are expanding our operations to international market and seeking a dynamic Project Manager to direct and oversee the entire boat production process from concept to completion.
Role Overview The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and completion of boat production projects. You will manage cross-functional teams, maintain schedules, control budgets, and ensure the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marine construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Management - Develop comprehensive project plans covering timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and deliverables.
- Set project milestones and ensure alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
- Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate unforeseen challenges.
Production Oversight - Direct and manage all stages of boat production, including design, hull construction, superstructure, and MEP systems.
- Ensure all production activities are executed to meet luxury quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and procurement teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Mostly manage external stakeholders and partners
Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination - Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and services.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain cost control.
Team Leadership & Supervision - Lead and supervise on-site production teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Provide clear direction, support, and performance management for team members.
Quality Assurance & Compliance - Implement and monitor quality control processes throughout production.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Stakeholder Communication - Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and financials to senior management.
Financial & Cost Management - Control project budgets and manage financial reporting with the support of Finance Department
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Handle procurement and payment schedules in coordination with the finance team.
Risk Management - Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop contingency plans to address production challenges.
Key Requirements: - Experience: Minimum of 5 years in project management, preferably in marine construction, yacht building, or luxury boat manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of boat production processes, including wooden hull construction, MEP systems, and finishing techniques.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
- Leadership: Experience in leading and motivating diverse production teams.
- Financial Acumen: Competence in budget management, procurement, and cost control.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Travel: Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
