Job Title: Research Engineer in Quantum Optics / Photonics
Imagine a future where a single test unlocks the full story of your health. That’s the transformative vision we’re bringing to life. We are a deeptech company developing a revolutionary technology to analyse all blood components in a single test, using a single machine. By rethinking the limits of current blood analysis methods—which depend on labour-intensive, costly, and targeted approaches—we aim to make advanced healthcare more accessible, affordable, and precise. This is your chance to work at the intersection of quantum physics and medical innovation, driving forward a revolution in how we understand and treat disease.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and assembly of the experimental setup tailored to quantum-light applications for biology.
Generate and manipulate quantum states of light, including entangled photons, and work with multiple photon bin structures such as time-bin, polarization-bin, and frequency-bin states.
Collaborate closely with technical leadership to align quantum optics strategies with broader technological goals.
Participate in iterative prototype development, refining experimental approaches and implementing optimizations to improve the reliability and scalability of the setup.
Qualifications and Skills:
PhD in Quantum Optics, Quantum Photonics, or a closely related field.
Postdoctoral experience preferred, with a strong experimental background in designing and managing quantum optics or photonics setups.
Why Join Us?
Work on a cutting-edge field and explore one of the most promising areas in modern physics, with direct impact on people’s lives.
Gain expertise in cross-disciplinary fields such as biology, medicine, and healthcare.
Contribute to breaking down a deeply rooted technological limitation with potential applications across multiple industries.
What We Offer:
Competitive salary aligned with your experience and profile.
Equity in the company.
Location and Start Date:
This position is based in Paris, France.
The role opens in two months, with flexibility on the exact start date based on the candidate's availability.
