The division
Group CIO creates the link between technology and business strategy and priorities, defines the technology operating model for AXA, sets global and local architecture, applications and infrastructure standards, and leads the definition and execution of global technology strategy and technology lifecycle to enable innovation and business growth.
The department / team
Identity Global Products (IGP) is a large and global department in AXA Group Operations, composed by ~150 team members, mandated to design, implement, deploy and operate globally shared products linked to identity & access management domain for:
- Employees working for AXA
- Users/partners working for AXA business,
- Customer users of AXA
In essence, the IT Identity Department is the guardian of the company’s digital identity, ensuring the right people have the right access at the right time. It’s a critical function that helps maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the company’s information assets.
Currently transformed thanks to major IT transformation programs, we aim to become leader on the market in terms of practices and technologies.
About the job
Job purpose
As an UX Design & Researcher Intern, your main objective is to assist Product Managers, Product Owners and Service Owners, Communication & Event teams, Product Adoption & Engagement teams for our 6 Global Products by on UX topics:
- Enriching our knowledge of our users (persona, user stories)
- Continually improving UX experience: regularly capture and understand expectations and needs of our product users and consumers
- Improve and foster user-centric culture with product teams. Indeed, as part of our agile transformation, the UX experience is a new consideration for many of product team members in their daily activities (mostly engineers or traditional project managers)
Main missions
Your responsibilities include:
- Enriching our knowledge of our users (persona, user stories)
- Continually improve our user knowledge (profiles/personas) by collecting user feedbacks, performing user interviews, understanding user behaviours, etc. (created 6 months ago only)
- Develop end-to-end user stories and storytelling (multi-products)
- Continually improving UX experience
- Maintain our website up-to-date in alignment with information provided by Product teams with best UX practices (freshly created end 2024 by our UX designer) - ~1 000 users
- Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user needs, pain points and behaviours
- Develop and optimize design workflows, streamling the design process for efficiency and impact
- Define Voice of Customer regular events
- Improve and foster user-centric culture with product teams
- Identify existing relevant trainings on UX design & research, and build training contents adapted to our context when necessary to be implement to our overall training strategy
- Develop UX design & research methodologies and toolkits
- Coach our product team members on UX research
- Work closely with change & communication teams to ensure product & project communications are compliant with UX best practices and user-centric
- Advocate for the user in projects
During this internship, you will develop key skills and expertise which will be valuable for your career on:
- Project management
- Product management (including agile methodology)
- IT Operations and Service Management best practices
- Usage of corporate tools (O365, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Klaxoon, etc.)
- Knowledge on identity solutions and cybersecurity

About you
We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:
Experience
- Previous experience of UX design or research projects
- Prevous experience in creating end-to-end UX processes and workflow, including user journeys, tasks analysis
Technical skills
- Microsoft Office (O365, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel File)
- PowerBI or equivalent
- ServiceNow, Jira and Confluence is a plus but not mandatory
- Details focused but always keeping the high-level picture to understand the purpose of his/her activities on the overall business objectives
- Familiar with UX design and research processes and methodologies
- Familiar with Agile framework and methodologies (backlog management, sprint, …)
- “Coding” experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Management of user community including driving problem calls, communicating progress on issues & actions
Soft skills / transversal skills
- Capacity to be autonomous and take lead/initiative to engage stakeholders and solve arising problems
- Rigorous, organized, excellent time management
- Problem solving, including solving business and technical challenges, critical thinking skills
- Ability to document requirements for both technical and end user teams
