For the energy commodity group, under the control of the purchasing manager, the energy senior Buyer contributes to:
Define the commodity strategy in his area, analyzing industry and its demand trends, develop and implement sourcing strategies.
Manage his supplier panel relationship.
Manage the performance of his supplier panel and resolving issues and concerns.
Source new suppliers in his domain.
Be the purchasing interface of the project and engineering during the development phase from supplier nomination up to start of production.
Manage contract relationship and negotiation with suppliers during bid.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Research and identify prospective suppliers.
Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements.
Financial reporting.
We are looking for a motivated energy Senior Buyer to manage our company’s procurement activities. The Buyer responsibilities include sourcing new suppliers at the best QCDP (quality compliance, cost standards, and delays) and meeting program price targets, negotiating purchase terms, and evaluating supplier performance. To be successful as an energy buyer, you should be able to develop efficient procurement solutions and support the purchasing manager with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies. Ultimately, the buyer should have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be an analytical thinker.
Minimum Requirements:
Engineering degree with energy knowledge welcome.
4+ years of experience as Energy Buyer or in a similar role.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Able to manage multiple programs and sourcing activities in parallel.
Performance-oriented thinking.
Team player with strong organizational skills.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically.
