Intellectual Property Intern

We are looking for an intern (6 months minimum) to support the IP development of the company.

Your mission:

Your main mission will be to support Ahlstrom's intellectual property activities by providing research assistance for intellectual property related matters including patent filing, prosecution, competitive patent analysis, and oppositions. The ideal candidate is energetic, flexible, and highly organized. Must be able to juggle multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive attitude.

Main Tasks:

• Work with Inventors on invention disclosures. Review, identify patentable features
• Research, Collect and synthesize technical information from a variety of sources including internal data, published literature and patent review
• Conduct analysis of technical information and provide summary reports to utilize in patent drafting, opposition, other IP matters
• Support patent prosecution/ opposition work by providing subject matter support and analysis
• Prepare and maintain documents to support other operational needs
• Create electronic and physical files, ensuring timely communication, and filing
• Maintain database, physical and electronic filing systems
• Must have knowledge of Ahlstrom Information Security policies and is for his/her own part responsible for ensuring information security when handling information and maintaining or using information systems or information networks

Your Profile :

• BAC + 4/5 in the field of chemistry/ material science/ chemical engineering
• Training/ background in Patent law
• Fluency in English (verbal and written)
• Detail oriented, organized, ability to work with internal and external deadlines
• Ability to work individually on a project or a team environment
