We are seeking an exceptional Senior Business Development Manager to lead our growth across Africa. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic leader passionate about driving impact in emerging markets.
This is a full-time, permanent position based at one of our African branch offices. The specific location will be mutually determined, considering your family stability needs, with frequent business trips required across the region (up to 50% travel time).
MISSION
- Reporting to the Africa Operations Manager (based in Nigeria), the Senior Business Development Manageris in charge of creating, developing and expanding our client portfolio, proposing IOTA services and being dedicated to create and apply an effective sales strategy in Africa;
- Thegoal is to drive sustainable financial growth throughboosting sales and creating strongrelationships with clients.
TASKS
- Market Analysis and StrategyDevelopment:
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends in the technical consulting and manpower services industry in Africa.
- Develop comprehensive strategies to penetrate and expand the market presence, taking into account competitive landscape and regulatory environment.
- Drive business growthby establishing and nurturing relationships with key clients,stakeholders, and decision-makers in target industries.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including but not limited to client acquisition, partnership development, and market expansion initiatives.
- Lead negotiations for contracts, agreements, and partnerships to secure new business deals and projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and requirements to deliver tailored solutions and services.
- Build and maintain strong,long-term relationships with existing clientsto ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Take full ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for the African market segment.
- Develop and execute budget plans, monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve revenue targets and profitability.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and motivate a team of support staff,to achieve collective goals and objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and human resources, to ensure seamless execution of projects and services.
- Assure the permanent reporting as per the group’s rulesand policies
SKILLS
Qualification: Engineering degree + MBA or Top Business School
Experience:
- Proven track record of success in business development and market expansion.
- At least 5 years of international experience in technical consulting / manpower services provision
- Experience in Africa is mandatory
- Fluent in English (reading,writing, and speaking)
- Knowledge of French languages would be a plus.
