LANXESS SAS France is currently seeking strong, motivated, and talented individuals with the appropriate sales and technical experience for the position of Sales Manager France - Material Protection Products portfolio (MPP BU).
Location: LANXESS SAS, France, Courbevoie, office hybrid, home based possibility
Geographical scope : France (travel is to be expected in Europe)
The range of products and applications is versatile, with a strong focus on the paints & coatings and construction chemicals markets.
Main Responsibilities:
Within the overall BU MPP strategy framework, the Sales Manager, should develop customer strategy and associated business cases to ensure BU MPP Sales growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Secure and develop our existing customer portfolio while guaranteeing the quality of our technical and regulatory support;
- Identify new opportunities and potential customers (lead generation);
- Visit customers to assess their needs and/or promote our products and services;
- Provide or participate in training and/or technical assistance to customers, including hygiene audits in the field, presentations related to the proper use of our products;
- Create and update customer files to ensure data quality;
- Work closely with the technical marketing, R&D, regulatory affairs and product management teams, as well as with the sales team;
- Negotiate prices, volume targets and financial terms, in line with company guidelines;
- Provide accurate and realistic sales forecasts on a regular basis;
- Contribute to the definition of annual budgets and related objectives;
- Monitor market changes and trends, market fluctuations and competitor activities and behaviour;
- Communicate market needs and information to internal team;
- Reporting (CRM, business cases, etc.)
Knowledge and Experience:
- Master Degree in Chemistry, Degree in science, Engineering or comparable experience
- Minimum 5 years of successful sales activities in the chemical industry or in related industries
- Candidates with knowledge of the the industrial biocides sector (biocidal product regulation) and experience in the use of biocides are preferred
- Intensive travel activities within France and internationally
- Excellent command of the French and English languages
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
