International US Law Firm seeks Investment Funds Associate (Paris)
Are you an Investment Funds associate looking to work for one of the leading global US law firms? My client is currently looking to make a hire to its private equity team in their Paris office, and this is certainly a firm to have on your CV if you wish to work in this field with the best clientele in the industry.
The Firm:
My client requires very little introduction as it is one of the most recognisable legal brands in the Private Equity and Funds industry. A US law firm originally, it now boasts offices across multiple locations internationally together with a clientele base that spans the globe. It is consistently ranked by all of the usual legal commentators for its prowess in funds and private equity furthermore.
This law firm has had an office in Paris for a little over five years, making a solid imprint in funds and private equity matters as governed by French law, and including many cross-border and international deals throughout Europe. It works very closely with its sister-offices in Europe, particularly in London where it provides significant assistance to the firm's operations there.
The Opportunity:
The firm is as busy as ever, taking on more and more instructions from its clients weekly and therefore is looking to appoint a new associate to its team in Paris. The work the team does in this regard pertains to investment funds, and the level of work on offer is second to none offered by any rival law firm. An interesting point to note about this opportunity is that the firm will consider applications from non-French qualified associates from any jurisdiction.
The Candidate:
You will be between 1-3 years qualified under a recognized legal bar association, with solid experience gained from a notable law firm that practices in the funds arena. As part of your experience so far you will be familiar with the full life cycle of a fund, from formation and fundraising through to fund closure.
You will have a keen eye for detail and excellent drafting and analytical skills. Most importantly you will have the energy and enthusiasm to thrive in what is generally a fast-paced environment. Fluency in the French language would be useful but is not mandatory and any applications from abroad must have a genuine reason for wanting to move to Paris.
In exchange, the successful candidate(s) will receive an excellent remuneration package, access to the best work in the industry, ongoing mentorship by the best legal leaders in the industry, and guaranteed career progression throughout the ranks to Partnership, quicker than at other firms in the legal market.
